In our new Addons challenge, you need the news trading add-on to trade news throughout all stages. Placing trades on Addon accounts without the news trading add-on during news events will result in a violation.

For our old model challenges:

For our 1 Phase model:

Prohibited accounts are not permitted to execute new trades or close existing trades on instruments being targeted by red folder macroeconomic events in the window of ≈ 10 minutes (≈ 5 minutes before and ≈ 5 minutes after the release of a red folder event).

For clarification, executing a trade is defined as opening, closing, or the modification of either a pending or market order.

You are permitted to hold your trades on instruments being targeted by red folder macroeconomic events that were open for more than ≈ 5 minutes prior to the restricted red folder macroeconomic event.

Please Note: If your trade were to close, this includes your SL/TP being triggered prior to ≈ 5 minutes before until ≈ 5 minutes after the red folder macroeconomic event, any profits of those affected trades will be revoked and a warning will be issued to the member. Trades that result in a loss will not be compensated and will still receive a violation warning.

Trading during all-day news events is strictly prohibited. Coverage for these events spans a full 24-hour period, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the specified date. Any trading activity on the affected symbols during this period will result in a violation, unless a News Trading Add-on is enabled on the account.

A "Tentative" news event refers to an economic or market event with an uncertain or adjustable start time. These events are labeled as "Tentative" because the official timing may not be confirmed until shortly before—or even after—the event begins.

Yes, deductions will still apply to all "Tentative" red-folder news events. These deductions are based on the official event start time as posted by the monitored sources listed below.

In some cases, the official start time of a "Tentative" event may not be updated for several minutes after the event begins. Customers are responsible for staying informed and monitoring "Tentative" news events and the affected symbols.

Deductions are based on the officially posted event start time, with a tolerance of ±5 minutes for trades opened or closed around that time.

To minimize risks, we recommend closely monitoring "Tentative" news events for any updates. If you prefer not to track these events manually, you can purchase the News Add-On, which allows you to trade without worrying about news event timing.
